ABOUT THE AWARD

The AAOM International Impact Award recognizes an AAOM member who has furthered the growth and impact of AAOM and embodied its goals and objectives to an international audience over the previous year. The award recognizes member achievements and contributions towards enhancing the organization’s global engagement through training, education, research, and service, as well as fostering a culturally diverse, welcoming environment that is conducive to furthering study and patient care in the field of regenerative orthopedic medicine.

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

A successful application will demonstrate innovative global engagement efforts and how they impact AAOM in one or more of the following areas:

• Local/Global Community Engagement

• Global Teaching and Learning

• Research

The global engagement efforts included in your application will be evaluated with emphasis on innovation, impact, and sustainability all within the context of your involvement.

Nominee and Nominator both must be members of the AAOM in good standing at time of application, selection, and award distribution.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

The committee screens nominations and selects a finalist based on the information received in the application, should include, but is not limited to, the following:

• A current curriculum vitae

• Executive summary (200 words or less)

• Expanded narrative to include what was done, how it was accomplished, impact and success, long term vision for the project

• Letters of support

NATURE OF AWARD

As a result of being recognized as the winner of an International Impact Award, the winner will have the opportunity to present from the podium during AAOM’s Annual Scientific Meeting the year the award is granted. Winners should make travel plans accordingly.

Winners will also receive at the Annual Scientific Conference a certificate of award suitable for framing. Recognition will be provided by AAOM in the form of a newsletter article, and on social media as available.
