COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER
The American Academy/Association of Orthopedic Medicine carries out its work through a member-driven structure of committees, subcommittees, other types of groups.
Each committee has a specific purpose, defined at the time it is established. Each committee consists of a chair, vice chair, and members at-large, the positions of which are filled from a combination of AAOM board members and members in good standing.
Committees Include:
Awards: Oversees the development, evaluation, and administration of recognition programs that honor individuals and organizations advancing the mission and impact of AAOM.
Designations (IROM, PCA, etc.): Guides the development, standards, and ongoing oversight of AAOM’s professional designations, ensuring they reflect excellence, credibility, and leadership within the field.
Education: Shapes AAOM’s educational strategy and offerings, ensuring high-quality, relevant programming that advances knowledge and supports the continued growth of regenerative orthopedic medicine.
Finance: Supports the Board in maintaining the organization’s financial health and integrity. Responsibilities include oversight of budgeting, financial planning, compliance, asset protection, and sound fiscal management practices.
Marketing, Membership & Social Media: Partners with the Executive Director to elevate AAOM’s visibility, expand membership, and drive engagement and attendance at key events. Provides strategic input and subject matter expertise across marketing initiatives and digital channels to maximize reach and impact.
OTX Program: Works closely with the Board President and President-Elect to design and deliver a high-impact, sustainable conference program. Ensures OTX content aligns with organizational goals and delivers meaningful educational value to attendees.
