AAOM’s 2025 Live Patient Ultrasound Training and Mission Brigade Breaks National Record in Mexico
Take a moment to view a short video of our time in Mexico.
The 2025 Live Patient Ultrasound Training and Mission Brigade concluded on September 5, 2025, with an historic announcement by DIF Bahía de Banderas President Margui Guadalupe Zúñiga de Santana: the service partnership between AAOM and CUMDA MX set a national record for the number of patients treated in just 3.5 days.
“We are honored and humbled by the hospitality offered us, and the love the Mexican people showed us,” said Mike Carlson, DO, AAOM President and Brigade Leader. “We cannot wait to come back to Bahía de Banderas and do this again in another year.”
Together, AAOM, CUMDA MX, and the Instituto de Proloterapia provided regenerative medicine care to 586 patients at the DIF Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit—located just outside Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
AAOM’s delegation included nine physicians from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, along with five master instructors, ensuring an intensive 2:1 student-to-instructor learning experience.
The week-long training featured:
1.5 days of lectures and ultrasound landmark skills development
3.5 days of direct patient evaluation and treatment
With a singular mission to Train. Treat. Transform.™, the AAOM Brigade did just that.
