COURSE DESCRIPTION

This cutting-edge workshop is a comprehensive hands-on interventional regenerative medicine extremities workshop to complement your clinical and surgical treatments. The workshop will provide basic to advanced instruction about all types of regenerative medicine, injections and injection techniques.  Included will be uses of various guidance such as palpation, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, and about how treatments such as PRP, stem cells, and other orthobiologics all work for the peripheral extremities, giving you the tools and skills to achieve successful patient outcomes, and teaching you how to incorporate it into your practice.

  • Understand Physical Examinations and determining a diagnosis for upper and lower extremities.

  • Determine appropriate injection techniques using ultrasound guidance for upper & lower extremities.

  • Determine appropriate injection techniques using fluoroscopy for upper & lower extremities.

  • Understand the current Regulations and FDA Guidance's regarding Regenerative Medicine.

  • Understand various injectable protocols that will help you in patient treatment.

  • Assess how the different injectates are used and which are most effective for the various extremity diagnosis.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Physicians with prior exposure to musculoskeletal ultrasound who want or need hands-on training experience in performing US-guided injections. This is ideal for physicians who want to add this skill set into their practice, expand their repertoire of procedures they can offer, or hammer down the basics of performing US-guided injections.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

Registration is open to physicians who are board-certified or in the examination process for certification in: Anesthesiology, Interventional Pain, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, or Family Practice / Sports Medicine.  Registrants who are not board-certified or eligible for certification in these specialties must have either completed or be currently enrolled in a pain fellowship accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), or be a residency trained MD or DO approved by the educational committee of the AAOM to enroll in this course.
